
Meet some of your team
Trisha Schwartz, co-director of Diamond Dancer, is a graduate from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Material Science and Engineering degree. Dancing for over 19 years, she trained as a competitive dancer in ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, hip hop and lyrical. In addition to overall high scoring national awards for both group and solo routines, she was also named Dancer of the Year at Kids Artistic Review and Rainbow Connection dance competitions. Her other honors include top choreography awards at several regional competitions. Trisha has been an instructor at Dance Theatre Studio in Ann Arbor, MI for the past four years, where she has developed their award winning competition team, A2DT. She has also had the pleasure of working with Young People’s Theatre in Ann Arbor, MI as choreographer of the production, Sound of Music, and an instructor at their numerous summer camps. Trisha is ecstatic to be pursuing her passion for dance and embarking on this new chapter in her life.
Breanna Moore, co-director of Diamond Dancer, trained in ballet, jazz, tap, modern, lyrical, hip hop and gymnastics during her 14 years of dancing. She has worked with well-known choreographers including Mia Michaels, Tyce Diorio and Mandy Moore. As a competitive dancer, she has won overall and high scoring awards at the regional and national levels, including an invitation to tour with Dance Olympus as an assistant. In 2007, Breanna was a member of a piece that was chosen to participate in a national broadcasting of the top ten high scoring dance routines. She has been an assistant teacher in her dance classes and choreographed audition pieces for Young People’s Theatre. Breanna is attending Oakland Community College and is thrilled to be sharing her love of dance.
Carrissa Knox has been dancing for 15 years training in tap, jazz, ballet, pointe, modern, lyrical, hip hop and pom-pon. She has received numerous overall performance awards throughout her competition career, which include a National Title Invitational at Dance Xplosion and a Modern Story-Telling Performance award from On Stage America. Additionally, Carrissa has choreographed for Holly High School Varsity Dance Team, while a member for two years. Carrissa is currently attending Oakland Community College to pursue a degree in photography and is excited to be joining the Diamond Dancer family.
